Dear Zoo

10 June, 2014

We love Dear Zoo. This is our third copy (we’ve had two board book copies and a second hand paperback) and the one we have has been extensively repaired.

Dear Zoo encourages child participation, not only through lifting flaps but also because although the animal’s name is needed for the text to make sense, it’s not printed on the page, providing the opportunity for the child to provide the name or even the sound of the animal.

One proviso though – as much as I LOVE this book and have given it as a gift, I haven’t really enjoyed any of Rod Campbell’s other books.
