Our Inaugural Fortnightly Excursion Part One

1 August, 2011

In typical crazy Parnell family fashion, we caught a train into the city before deciding exactly what we would do when we got there.

First stop was the Australian Museum. We joined up as museum members, giving us unlimited entry for a year, which we hope to make good use of.
The Australian Museum has a big section of insects, which ties into our nature studies unit. We also made visits to the skeletons, the Surviving Australia exhibit, the dinosaurs and the Kidzone for under fives (and well behaved older children when it’s not too busy).
It was very nice to be able to visit and not feel like we had to rush around to see everything.
