A We Learn 4 Fun Giveaway! – Discover Downunder

11 November, 2013

Discover Downunder is the latest release from Homeschooling Downunder.

Discover Downunder is an Australian geography book for 8-14 year olds, with 32 lessons to help your child fill on their mental map of Australia.
“A child will be left with a sense of wonder without overwhelming them with information that is influenced by any particular ideology or world view.”

I helped contribute to the development of the book and so Michelle, of Homeschooling Downunder, has generously given me a copy of her fresh-off-the-press book for me to give away to my blog readers.

To enter the giveaway, comment on this post and tell me where in this Wide Brown Land, you’d most like to discover. For a second entry, share this post on your blog or Facebook page, and then make a second comment with a link to your post.

Entries close 8pm Wednesday 20th November, and I’ll announce the winner on the Thursday morning.

Hi there, we have two boys aged 8 and 11 and we would love to discover the Wesrern Australia. We started our home school journey last September when we started traveling Australia, however we didn’t make it to Western Australia! I have started my planning for next year, but haven’t yet done the Australian history or geography subject. Thank you for having such a wonderful offer. Carolyn Soper.

I have always wanted to travel to central Australia where the ground is rusty red and the sky is a beautiful blue. I can’t stand the heat ( I’m in Tassie ) but I will be willing to sweat it out in order to see the beauty!

We would live to visit QLD and see their gorgeous beaches and massive rain forests. So totally different to our red & dry landscape (although still beautiful), as we live in Central Australia.

Lol, only ONE? We have been In Australia for about 8 months, and we want to see all of it! Can I say ‘the Coast’ to start? No kidding, we’d love to drive around it, then through… Though is I let our eldest son choose, I think he would say a trip on the Ghan. To start ;)
